Thornton East Post Office has been closed since last September when the Postmaster resigned and withdrew their premises for Post Office use. I am informed that since the closure, the Post Office has been exploring options for restoring a Post Office service to customers in the area. The Post Office remains confident that a Post Office Local Service will best meet the community's needs.
